Tips for getting into your zone

How can we get more of these positive states of mind? The issue for most of us is that these short periods in 'the zone' are fleeting. Most of us don't know how we get into 'your zone' and we don't know how to remain there for extended periods of time.

Here are some tips to help get in the zone:

  • Set yourself some clear goals.
  • Use music (pump up, calm down or favourite tracks depending on what you think will get you into the zone) to get into the right emotional state.
  • Checking that your motivation is focused on what you want to achieve for yourself (for example, achieve a clear head, reduce stress, improve confidence, find a euphoric state, etc).
  • Make sure that your hydration levels are good by drinking the best drink you can - good hydration means more time in the zone, feeling better, concentrating better and performing better.

To get the most from your brain it is essential that you stay hydrated and maintain an appropriate blood sugar level.
