Dehydration causes a gradual reduction in your mental and physical performance, whilst your heart will beat faster than normal and your core body temperature will rise.
Other effects of dehydration include dizziness and dull headaches, loss of muscle strength due to increased lactic acid, as well as slower reaction times, reduced concentration and decision-making ability. Heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke may also occur - so it is important to monitor your body and consume fluids throughout the day to stay hydrated.
